How to make end credits.

Start with an approved credit list, choose how to build it, then check the finished file. This guide also compares six dedicated credits tools and their prices.

01 / MAKE THE CREDITS

From list to finished file

  1. 01

    Approve the list

Put names, roles, companies, music and legal lines in one agreed order. Collect any logos.

  2. 02

    Split cards and roll

Use still cards for key credits and rolling sections for longer lists. Set typography at the final frame size.

  3. 03

    Set timing and export

Choose the aspect ratio, resolution, frame rate and duration. Render a sample in the required format.

  4. 04

    Watch and verify

Play the whole file. Check every name, motion, first and last frame, codec and transparency.

02 / CHOOSE YOUR WORKFLOW

Where should you build it?

Video editor

Short, stable list. Use rolling titles in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer or Final Cut Pro.

Motion graphics

Custom animation or compositing. Build in After Effects and keep an approved source list for revisions.

Design app

Cards or artwork in Illustrator or Photoshop; animate and export them in a video workflow.

Credits software

Long or changing lists. Keep names editable and let a dedicated tool handle the cards, roll, and revisions.

How I checked the prices

I used vendors’ own pages on 14 October 2026. I have not rendered the same project in every tool or independently verified quality, support or adoption. Prices can change. ScrollX’s template prices are separate from its full service. Edit Credits is free during beta; no future price is announced on the About page.
